Outline: Hannah is a young woman from Whitfield, a small suburb on the outer edge of St. Catharines. She had an upper-middle class upbringing, and all the privilege that brought with it, until an incident near the end of her freshman year of high school changed her life forever. After taking the summer to coalesce in a high-class rehab centre (did I imply her upper-middle class privilege was gone, because it wasn't) she returned to school to find herself changed. The petty politics of rich, self-involved people around her no longer interested her. She struggled to fit back into her old life of cheerleading, track and field and tormenting the less fortunate and popular in her school. Then she found out about the disappearances plaguing the town since the incident. And then she found out about her superpowers.
Hannah decided to get to the bottom of the disappearances in order to clear not only her own name (due to the incident and her own subsequent 'disappearance,' many thought her to be involved) but also her father's, the incumbent candidate in the intensifying mayoral race. Largely thought to be merely a spate of disaffected teen runaways, Hannah found that the disappearances were actually caused by something far more sinister. However, one mystery gave way to another, devolving into a seemingly never-ending spiral that brought Hannah further and further into the world of the supernatural, hidden in plain sight.
Five years later, a number of mysteries solved and even an apocalypse or two averted, and Hannah is on the run. But who is after her, and for what purpose?
Powers: Hannah exhibits super strength, supernaturally heightened senses, superior reflexes, supernatural combat expertise, supernatural resilience and a significant healing factor.
Super strength: Just what it sounds like. The upper limits of her strength have yet to be tested, but generally speaking, she can lift up and throw cars, but probably not multi-story buildings.
Heightened senses: Superior senses of hearing, smell, touch, taste. With focus, can sense magic (if there are supernatural creatures around; if there is a curse nearby, etc.)
Superior reflexes: Reaction times greatly decreased.
Supernatural combat expertise: Hannah can wield any weapon with expertise, even if she's never done so before.
Supernatural resilience: Hannah can take a beating and still get up. She is also resistant to most forms of magic, though not immune by any means. Rarely, if ever, gets sick.
Healing factor: Any minor damage sustained will be healed in a day or so. More serious injuries (broken bones, cuts that require stitches, etc.) will take several days. Almost-lethal damage will take a little more than a week.
